From process design to go-live, learn the steps that make a ServiceNow ITSM rollout successful — and the mistakes that derail most projects.
Start with process, not the platform
The most common reason ServiceNow ITSM projects struggle is that teams configure the tool before agreeing on the process. Incident, problem and change management workflows should be documented and signed off by stakeholders before a single form is customised.
At Zrosis Technologies we begin every engagement with a discovery workshop that maps your current-state processes, identifies gaps against ITIL practices, and defines a target operating model that the platform then supports.
Phase the rollout
Trying to launch every ITSM module at once overwhelms users and support teams. A phased approach — typically incident and service request first, then change and problem, then knowledge and continual improvement — builds confidence and adoption.
Each phase should end with a hypercare period, measured adoption metrics and a retrospective that feeds into the next phase.
Measure what matters
Define success metrics early: mean time to resolve, first-contact resolution, change success rate and user satisfaction scores. ServiceNow Performance Analytics makes these visible, but only if the underlying data model is clean from day one.
